Will and Alana: Long Island NY

I have seen many couples line their wedding isles with these verses from 1 Corinthians 13 :

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

There have been so many times in the last 5 years in my marriage these verses showed me how act . There were moments when I was impatient, jealous, i was definitely rude, and probably loved to tell my husband when he was wrong and I was right ( boastful) . Seeing these verses over and over my whole life they didn’t really mean anything to me until I started to believe they were in fact true. So what happens ( sometimes, I’m far from perfect and I don’t really need to be, thats the beauty of the cross ) . is I may act the opposite of these verses and then I’ll question if my actions were in fact love. Then, I realize they weren’t at all. Sometimes I have to say Im sorry ( a lot) . When i look at these verses and remember that God is love and Jesus showed us the very example of love, laying down his love for us, i can see he is everyone of these verses. He is patient with us, so so kind, he is so humble ( he’s God for peat sakes and he washed peoples feet and served them ), He’s not proud ( like boastful and arrogant, but he is certainly proud of you!) He isn’t self seeking since he died for you and sings over you and has more thoughts for you ( yes you) than there are grains of sands, he keeps no records of wrongs ( he casts your sins as far is the east is from the west) . He is a love! Nothing can stop him from loving you!

Alana and wills wedding was rescheduled because of the C,O word ( I’m not saying the word because it doesn’t deserve the attention) . However, this wedding was exactly how it was meant to be. A little later but beautiful and amazing and full of little wonders and surprises. It took place at the east wind in Long Island New York. A few of my favorite parts of the day was 1. Alana’s excitement right before “the kiss” ( photo below) 2. The best man’s speech that reminded me of Tony Evans ( fire, power, truth) . 3. When Alana’s Parents and brothers surprised them with a song. 4. When complete strangers drove up to the couple while getting their photos taken and handed them a pile of cash ( so cool) .

Be blessed, and smile like this best man, and kiss your wife like will is doing, and raise your hands in the air like Alana does when she’s happy ( which is always!!).. oh and sing !!!!
