Kristina and Jacob : A June Garden Wedding in Wisconsin

Hello friends. I realize it has been awhile since I have posted on here. Blogging is so time consuming. I have been trying to rethink my business and how I might make my whole life a little easier by not blogging and only posting on Instagram. However, it’s just so hard to let go and stop. This page is where you get to see my current work which reflects how my art is evolving. It’s also, where I feel I get to use my real voice and forget about algorithms ( a little bit) and having my content seen. It’s really like a self assessment for my self.

Im posting this wedding because this is the wedding that kicked of the summer for me. I’m also teaching now and Andrew ( AW) and I are living in Wisconsin during the school year and western NY in the summer. We are currently at our house in WNY sitting side by side on our computers. I hear him huffing and puffing as he is working hard to get through a paper in his Masters program as I wrap up this wedding. It’s so good to be at this house. It’s our first home. Small home. We have made this home our own and got it just how we like ( almost) . For the last three years we have debated whether to sell it and we really feel like we are going to, at this point. It’s so hard. Why? I have traveled the world and thus far lived an adventurous life. Im a minimalist and really not tied to things but this little house. How can I let go? This is what life is all about this isn’t it? Letting go and embracing the new. It’s sweet and sour just like a sour patch kid.

The wedding below is the wedding of Kristina and Jacob. They are both two sweethearts. I met Kristina at a wedding show with her friend. Her friend basically was the force behind her booking me. ( Thanks girl) . Then I did their engagement photos with their doggie Gloria. I knew their wedding would be fun because these two just have all the feels and fun. I keep saying this but, I really see Jacob as the one who has the ability to calm the seas in Kristina’s life. I just noticed in photographing them that there was something magical that happened to Kristina when Jacob was with her in the photos. I have been doing this for awhile and I recognise this stuff. Im telling ya these two darlings are going to last!

The venue was magical/ whimsical/ suprising/hospitable / . Seriously wow wow wow! Not only was it extremely special/ beautiful/ unique to look at but the family who runs it really knows how to seamlessly work a wedding. As a photographer who has been to many places this place really has it all.
